Robin aparently needed some “alone time” today. (I didn’t know that existed when you had kids, but anyways.) The kids were driving me nuts, couped up in the house. They have hundreds of dollars worth of toys and all the want to do is watch TV and go on the computer. So I took them to a place in Appleton called Wild-Air (www.wild-air.com). It is a huge building with lots of those blow up bouncy things, slides, obstical courses, etc. Unfortunately, Lyhna is to big to be in the “Junior” side, and Stephen is to little to be in the “Extreme” side, so that was a challenge for me to be in two places at once. It took awhile for Stephen to warm up to the experiance, he was definately overwhelmed. Eventually, I decided I had to break the rules and had Lyhna come over to Stephen’s side. (If parents can go on the stuff with their toddlers, why can’t an 8 year old?) They didn’t bust us until we had only 5 minutes left. So all in all it was a great time for all of us (me included). Oh, until the evil beeyotch showed up as we were leaving and Lyhna begged me to stay with her and her other brother. What are the fricking chances of that? I swear she has a tracking system on us somewhere.

I don’t ever complain that I don’t get anything for Valentine’s Day, or Mother’s Day, or really even my birthday. Stephen loves his new potty. Now we just wait and see what happens. I think I will have him sit on it a couple times a day just to get used to the idea.

I get that there is more blood pumping through my body for the baby and all that stuff, but I can do without the bleeding gums everytime I brush my teeth. New today is the bloody noses. I am sure that is in part due to just getting over a pretty nasty cold and the crazy weather but—YUCK!!!

Baby Steps to Potty-Training

Over the past week or so I have been noticing some things that shows Stephens awareness of being wet or “stinky”. Two days in a row when I start to smell something foul I will ask Stephen are you stinky? He says stinky and grabs his butt. Then last night before I even smelled anything, he came up to me and was trying to pull down his pants and grabbing his diaper while yelling at me. I asked if he was stinky, he shook his head yes. Finally, it used to be a battle to change diapers. As soon as he saw you with a diaper he would bolt in the opposite direction; now he will grab it from me and lay down. He also likes to take a wipe and take care of his pee pee. I know we are still a long way off from full blown potty-training, but it is nice to see some steps in the right direction. Maybe I should get a potty chair so he gets used to it.

Sweatin’ in the snow

Why does being pregnant have to mess with your whole body in the weirdest ways??? I have a major arm pit sweat issue going on here. It is really quite rediculous. I wear deoderant/anti-perspirant so what’s the deal? I could be wearing a tank top all day and still have sweat dripping from my pits. I guess I am glad that I don’t really go anywhere for it to be embarassing, except the gym (but if you can’t sweat there where can you?). I just thought I would share that weird fact with the world.
