I get that there is more blood pumping through my body for the baby and all that stuff, but I can do without the bleeding gums everytime I brush my teeth. New today is the bloody noses. I am sure that is in part due to just getting over a pretty nasty cold and the crazy weather but—YUCK!!!
Sweatin’ in the snow February 4, 2008
Why does being pregnant have to mess with your whole body in the weirdest ways??? I have a major arm pit sweat issue going on here. It is really quite rediculous. I wear deoderant/anti-perspirant so what’s the deal? I could be wearing a tank top all day and still have sweat dripping from my pits. I guess I am glad that I don’t really go anywhere for it to be embarassing, except the gym (but if you can’t sweat there where can you?). I just thought I would share that weird fact with the world. Later.

GIRL!! So far she looks great. Her heartrate was 154 and is measuring 10 ounces in weight. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was that the placenta is still to low. If it does not move I will need to have a c-section, but the doctor is confident that there is still plenty of time for it to move out of the way.
I think the first and last ultrasounds are pretty easy to figure out. The middle one may be a bit confusing. She is kind of folded in half, so the leg is straight up as if she is doing a high kick, next to the leg is an arm, and they are both in front of her head (the head isn’t clear at all, it is the blurry circle in the background.)
That is all for now. Oh yeah, I had to stop at the store on my way home for a baby girl scrapbook to start with her new pictures and I just happened to pick out a new outfit too!
PS– Auntie LeAnne, your niece would appreciate it very much if she could borrow Madisen’s old clothes. You too Ruchell!
T minus 60 minutes January 25, 2008
We have one hour to go until it is offical. I am getting everything ready for the whole family to trek out to the doctors office. Sippy cup, water bottle, granola bar, graham crackers, and 1 diaper just in case. I will post as soon as we get home. PINK or BLUE?
My New BFF January 23, 2008
I have spend way to much time trying to find maternity pants that aren’t hideous and are comfortable. The stores never have my size or “my size”doesn’t fit or the fact that I don’t have a butt makes them look rediculous. I have been living in gym pants for at least a month now and am starting to feel like a lazy pile of crap that can’t get dressed in the morning. So I finally bought this magical invention. I can wear my regular pre-pregnancy jeans without zipping or buttoning them and no one now the difference. I feel human again. I could kiss whoever invented the belly band, I Love It!!
19 Weeks down January 22, 2008
Here is a picture of my belly today. It gets bigger as the day goes on. On Friday we have the big ultrasound where we find out for sure boy or girl. The whole family is going, Lyhna is especially excited to see the baby. She tells me all weekend long, “I think the baby is getting bigger because your belly is bigger.”
Stephen’s new obsessions include coloring (only with markers), finger painting, and pots and pans. It is no wonder I have horrible headaches all day long. There are a couple new pictures on flickr of our first finger painting session.
I’ve Been MIA January 10, 2008
I am feeling very guilty about not posting for a very long time. But there hasn’t been much to write about in my life lately. So in a nut shell here is what has happened since Christmas:
1. Stephen had his tongue surgery. It was an interesting experiance to say the least. The whole thing lasted about 10 minutes but he screamed bloody murder for 45 min after. I have never felt such gut wrenching guilt in my life. He is all better now and sticks his tongue out all day long.
2. We went sledding. That was a disaster. It took longer for me to get Stephen dressed to go out in the snow than we were actually sledding. He went down the hill twice with Daddy. The first time was no problem, the second went fine again but he just had enough.
3. I am babysitting like crazy for the neighbor boy. The days when I watch him all day I question whether or not it is worth it. He is a very needy, sensitive, cry baby that needs to be held ALL THE TIME!! I can’t hold him all the time, in fact I refuse to hold him all the time. I have my own child that has needs also… like getting lunch and his diaper changed too. Is it just me and my hormones or are other children’s whines and cries the most annoying thing in the world?
4. Baby updates: I am starting to feel the baby kick a little bit. My belly button is stretching. And I have had 2 more “girl dreams.” So I am absolutely convinced that this one is a girl. I will have an appointment coming up in the next couple weeks to find out for sure.
5. House hunting: We went to our first open house last week. I realized it is going to take a lot of patience to find a house that works for us. This one was okay except for the yard. It was a corner lot with no backyard. I could literally reach a broom handle out the dining room window and touch the fence. Not for us.
6. New Years: We had a nice adult only dinner with another couple. I don’t think that has happened since September. After dinner we went to a nearby bar to shoot pool. We only had a sitter until 8:30 so it was an early night, but definately worth it.
Thats about it. I told you… pretty boring life. I am working more often so I will be able to post a little bit more. So check back next week for more!!
