27 Days to go…. August 23, 2007

I am back in Madison for the long haul. So far nothing to interesting to report to you.  We have been getting small doses of a drug for epilepsy that has been on the market for a long time.  People that actually need this drug take up to 1600mg per day so far we have been getting 200mg daily.  Tomorrow we get bumped up to 400mg, which will be the highest dose that we get.  Then after 2 weeks of that they will add the other drug that makes me pee like I am 9 months pregnant again.  Ultimately they want to see if the test drug will increase some levels in our blood when the 2 are taken together.  So while I am all sleepy slightly dizzy I will be pissing myself too…I know everyone is jealous! In other news, the Mother-in-Law flew into Milwaukee today.  I haven’t spoken to her or Robin yet since finding out that she made it here safely.  I am sure she is way to busy spoiling Stephen.  I know he will be in good hands while I am here and Robin goes back to work tomorrow.  I have picked up a new hobby while here counting down the days and hours to go.  Crocheting.  Lets just say that I am going to need lots of practice.  But I’ve got nothing but time to kill. So I should have an awesome afghan by the time I get out of here.
